J. Michael Grossman
Chairman of the Board, LEED AP

As founder and Chairman of the Board of Pinnacle Contracting Corporation, Michael Grossman is responsible for the inspiration and leadership that has made Pinnacle one of the leading commercial contractors in Southern California. Following his graduation from UCLA in 1975, Michael spent nearly two decades working in the construction industry. Working his way through the ranks at several leading Los Angeles area construction companies, Michael gained invaluable experience in field operations, estimating and project management on a wide variety of construction projects including studio and entertainment, law firms, corporate headquarters and building renovations.

In 1993, Michael, along with his wife Denise, founded Pinnacle. Working from their home office, they grew the company with measured restraint into what it is today, a highly organized, respected and financially sound construction company. With over 50 employees and a bonding capacity much larger than most companies their size, Pinnacle provides the financial strength and expertise requisite for successful project delivery.

Working in collaboration with designers, architects, brokers and clients, Michael’s mandate of teamwork from inception until completion has been the hallmark of Pinnacle’s success.

Michael currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Laurel Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides support, and summer/winter camps for children and their families who are affected by HIV/Aids.

Mark Tieman
President, LEED AP

In 2011, Mark Tieman was appointed President of Pinnacle Contracting Corporation. Having spent the previous 16 years as the Vice President of Pinnacle, Mark has been instrumental in Pinnacle’s growth and success. Since graduating from USC, Mark has worked for nearly 30 years in the construction industry. Mark’s experience includes work on major university, hospital, entertainment and corporate facilities. He has held positions of Senior Estimator and Project Manager for several leading Los Angeles based contractors.

Mark’s conscientious approach to detail ensures accuracy and efficiency throughout each phase of a project. With a high standard of excellence, Mark is able to exceed client’s expectations due to the broad spectrum of projects he has managed while coordinating constant communication with the project team. Mark ensures that the collaboration of all team members is maintained to achieve successful results.

Mark’s experience, combined with exceptional leadership and management abilities, will continue Pinnacle’s tradition of collaborative, on-time and on-budget project delivery.

Susan Berson
Vice President,

As Vice President of Pinnacle Contracting Corporation, Susan Berson has over 11 years experience in the construction industry. Susan’s primary expertise in tenant improvement, commercial construction and public works projects.

Susan’s previous experience included working as Senior Project Manager at Cal Pacific and Capri Construction. She also worked as Project Manager at TOBO Construction with responsibility for bidding, negotiating, budgeting and managing of commercial and public works projects.

Susan’s articulate approach to detail ensures that her projects are completed within budget and schedule parameters. Her knowledge of both project and construction management is unparalleled in the industry. Due to her extensive training and experience in the field, it has enabled her to remain an essential component to any project team.

Denise Grossman
Corporate Secretary

Denise Grossman co-founded Pinnacle Contracting Corporation in 1993. Denise’s experience of over 27 years in construction and real estate development has provided her with the knowledge to guide Pinnacle into the financially secure and respected construction company it has become.

Denise’s previous experience includes working as Controller for the $300 million Lake Sherwood Residential and Country Club Development for David H. Murdock. During the 1980’s she was the Controller of Cal-Pac Construction, a medium sized commercial contracting company in Los Angeles. Prior to that Denise worked in public accounting for 10 years.

With Denise’s guidance, Pinnacle has developed and maintains an exceptional relationship with banking partners and bonding company securing bonding capabilities in excess of $25 million.

Iral Meyerhoff
Chief Financial Officer

Iral Meyerhoff came to Pinnacle Contracting Corporation after having spent over 35 years in the plumbing industry, both in the retail and wholesale arenas. His extensive background in management, planning, contract negotiation, and forecasting has given him the tools needed to help guide Pinnacle. Iral’s previous experience includes working for Golden West Pipe & Supply, a plumbing wholesaler, where he was in charge of retail sales development. His clientele included retailers Pacific Sales, Snyder-Diamond and Warehouse Discount Center, as well as high-end residential builders and interior designers. Prior to that, Iral was the director of Purchasing for Snyder-Diamond, Inc. a large Southern California based retailer of plumbing fixtures, appliances and kitchen cabinets.

Iral’s ability to exercise sound judgment, strong problem solving and managerial skills, high level of dependability, integrity and communication skills helps round out the Pinnacle team.

Iral graduated with an MBA from Pepperdine University and received his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Northridge.

Michael A. Grossman
Vice President, LEED AP

As a second generation employee of Pinnacle Contracting Corporation, Michael has over 12 years experience in the construction industry. Michael worked on site on numerous projects over his 8 years at Pinnacle, first as a laborer and then as a superintendent. This hands on training on a variety of projects has provided him with the invaluable experience, insight and knowledge needed to estimate, schedule, and manage projects to a successful conclusion.

Michael’s commitment to a service oriented approach to contracting and project management has been welcomed by all clients and has been the foundation of his success. Michael attended California State University, Northridge and majored in Business Management.
